Selecting the Major That’s Right for You

If you select a major that you enjoy, you are more likely to excel academically and be more motivated to complete your degree. When selecting a major, consider your strengths and weaknesses as well as your interests. It is helpful to talk to faculty and others working in a field of interest about potential majors. It is important to note that college majors rarely restrict your career or graduate school options. It is the career-related skills and experiences that prepare you for almost any job regardless of your major. Remember — good information helps to make good decisions.
